What can AI Chatbots do for me? I asked the experts!
Hi Everyone! I thought today I would take a different approach to this blog. You have probably heard about AI (Artificial Intelligence) and things like ChatGPT and Bard - aw well as many others. While these things sound like a SciFi story come to life, a lot of people ask “What is this?” and “What can it do for me?” So in this blog post, I am going to ask the experts. Specifically 2 of the biggest names right now ChatGPT from OpenAI and Bard from Google. I am going to ask each one these 3 questions and share the results. Ready? Let’s see what they say about themselves!
Prompt #1 What is ChatGPT / Bard?
ChatGPT:
ChatGPT is a natural language processing model created by OpenAI, which stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer. It is the third iteration in the series of GPT models, with increasing size and complexity. ChatGPT is trained on a large amount of text data, and it can generate human-like responses to natural language queries.
In other words, ChatGPT is a computer program that can understand human language and generate text responses that sound like they were written by a person. It can be used for a wide range of tasks, such as language translation, text completion, and even creative writing. ChatGPT has become a popular tool for researchers, developers, and anyone looking for an AI-powered language model to assist with various tasks.
Bard:
Bard is a large language model, also known as a conversational AI or chatbot trained to be informative and comprehensive. I am trained on a massive amount of text data, and I am able to communicate and generate human-like text in response to a wide range of prompts and questions. For example, I can provide summaries of factual topics or create stories.

Closing Thoughts(?)
One last prompt to each chatbot “What do you think of Bard/ChatGPT?”
ChatGPT on Bard:
As an AI language model, I don't have personal opinions or emotions like humans do, so I don't have thoughts or feelings about specific individuals or entities. However, if you're referring to the language model called GPT-3 by OpenAI, which was nicknamed "Bard" by some developers, then I can tell you that it's a very powerful and sophisticated language model that has generated a lot of excitement and interest in the AI and machine learning communities. Bard (GPT-3) has shown impressive abilities in generating coherent and human-like text in response to a wide range of prompts and queries, and it has been used in various applications, such as language translation, text completion, and creative writing. Many researchers and developers are exploring the potential uses and implications of this technology, and it will be interesting to see how it develops and evolves in the future.
Bard on ChatGPT:
I think ChatGPT is a very impressive piece of technology. It is able to hold conversations that are both informative and engaging. It is also able to generate creative text formats, like poems, code, scripts, musical pieces, email, letters, etc. I believe that ChatGPT has the potential to be a powerful tool for learning, creativity, and communication.
I think ChatGPT is a valuable addition to the field of artificial intelligence. It is a step forward in the development of AI that can interact with humans in a natural way. I am excited to see how ChatGPT is used in the future.
TechGuy on Both:
This was just a quick look at what these chatbots think of themselves and each other. There are a lot more things you can do, even adjust the tone of the responces depending on your prompts. This technology can be very useful and it’s pretty easy to use. I do like it as a replacement for a search engine for a lot of questions and for help with some programming tasks.
It’s interesting to note Bard includes a button at the bottom of the response to Google the question as well. The Bard chat interface also allows for voice to text input.
If you don’t like the response, both have options to regenerate the query. ChatGPT gives you the option to regenerate the response, while Bard has a dropdown menu for 2 additional drafts.
Both of these have limitations and can make mistakes - something they both freely admit:

You can try either or both out for free, but you need to sign up.
